Carol
Childs was born in Poole, Dorset in 1973. She became interested
in Art from an early age, and as her talent was realised
in her late teens she was asked to undertake commissions
for friends and family.
Eventually,
this interest inspired her to study for and obtain an A-level
in Art from the Bournemouth College of Art & Design.
Following her qualification, Carol's interest in Art became
more serious, and what had started as a hobby, started to
become a career and way of life.
To
date Carol has successfully produced many commissions, including
2 paintings for The Royal Marines, as well as work for the
Anaconda Motorcycle Racing Team. She has also been commissioned
by the Mayor of Poole,to do a painting for a charity auction.
She
has also done many other commissions including several weddings
and a skydive check out the commission page to see the quality
of her work.

Carol has also produced work on a commission basis for local
small businesses, as well as continuing to fulfill the high
demand for personal commissions from family, friends and
acquaintances. Although the greatest demand for Carol's
work is focused locally to Dorset, buyers of Carol's work
are as diversely spread as South Africa and the Caribbean.
Carol
has recently decided to display her paintings more publicly,
with a critically acclaimed exhibition of Contemporary Paintings
during February, and an open air exhibition in Bournemouth
Gardens during July, introducing her work to a wider audience.
She also has work exhibited in the quarr gallery in swanage.

Further
exhibitions are planned, and coupled with this website,
Carol hopes to publicise her paintings to a National and
Worldwide audience.
